Prior to my leadership at the University of Nevada, Reno, I served as the web supervisor at International Game Technology. Working with multiple consulting firms, I lead the team in the development stage of a multi-million dollar web redesign, including, migrating the website from an on-site platform to a cloud solution while changing content management systems. I had the opportunity to work within multiple departments during my work at IGT. Within Information Technology, I managed the global ticketing system including server and network maintenance.
Working at the University has given me an opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership of the University. Keeping the leadership team and community apprised of major updates through presentations and other communications. The team is currently in the process of launching a website refresh of the award winning website. This next update is sure to be an amazing addition to the website.
I love volunteering in the community. Over the past 20 years, I've volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, and was awarded their Big Brother of the year in 2005. I still regularly enjoy hanging out with my little, who's now an adult. I've also volunteered with the Reno Initiative for Shelter & Equality.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Masters of Science in Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with family and friends. I typically take my camera with me and love taking scenic pictures throughout the cities I visit.
