As the IT Manager, I ensure quality and consistency across web and desktop applications, and shepherd IT projects from concept to launch. I serve as the senior technical lead on software initiatives, aligning engineering output with legislative workflows and security requirements.

From jack-of-all-trades to web development guru:
I started my career as a jack-of-all-trades, designing websites, managing equipment, and even troubleshooting AV issues. But my passion for technology led me to specialize in web development. At International Game Technology, I maintained the ticketing system for the slot machine company, gaining valuable experience in server administration and networking.
Leading the charge in web accessibility:
When I returned to the University, I wasn't just managing the website - I was leading the charge in making it accessible to everyone. We revamped the entire site from scratch, ensuring it met ADA standards and was easy to use for all students. I'm proud to say that the site is not only accessible but also innovative, using a headless CMS with no forward facing database.
Building on leadership
During my tenure at the University of Nevada, Reno, I was appointed to the Faculty Senate Executive Board. The governing board for adminitrative and academic facutly gave me insight into how an R1 instituion is lead. Working with some of the top leaders in the area, I got insight into how I can expand my own leadership skills and branch out.
